Change / add information

This section allows the users to change or add any kind of information about performances, documents, organisms or persons. You can go from a section to another. That is to say, once you have introduced the information about an investigator, if you want to add some more information about the works he/she has realized, that is the system that will provide all the steps the user needs to do it.
It also allows correcting the information. In this case, the operator of the project (the Documentation Centre Xenpelar) will receive a short message with the proposed changes and it will be provided to the consultative commission. In all the cases in which there is proposed to alter or add any kind of information, it will be strictly necessary to obtain the assent of the consultative commission.

Changing information
It means any change, alteration or update on the information about performances, documents, organisms and persons. Also suggestions can be added. In order to accelerate and make easier the change acceptance process, it is suitable to provide the as many arguments as possible to the consultative commission.
Adding information
This is the access to the database for information about performances, documents, organisms and persons. First of all, you have to select a title and then there will appear the form you have to fill in order to be able to introduce the information.
PERSON
  • NAME AND SURNAME: as you introduce a name, the list will unfold. If you are looking for someone that has been searched previously, select it from the list and the information will turn up. This section has to be filled in.
  • PSEUDONYM: search someone by using pseudonyms.
  • DATE OF BIRTH: years have four numbers; months and days two. It is not necessary to know the specific date (the year is enough).
  • DATE OF DEATH: years have four numbers; months and days two. It is not necessary to know the specific date (the year is enough).
  • ADDRESS: street, number... every user is free to decide how many information wants to add.
  • ZIP CODE: complementary information.
  • CITY: this information allows the user to get in touch with the person that he is looking for. You have to provide the name of the city where you live.
  • COUNTRY / REGION: you have to introduce the name of the country or the region in which you live; that is not the country or the region where you investigate or work.
  • TELEPHONE: Fill it with numbers. Free writing.
  • FAX: Fill it with numbers. Free writing.
  • EMAIL: provided that we will use the net as a communication system, it is absolutely necessary to complete this section.
  • URL: if the person has a website, he/she can add the information about it's location in the net.
  • BIOGRAPHY: free text that can be written in different languages. There is no limit of text.
  • FUNCTION: this definite list lets us know about the activities in which the searched person has taken part; that is to say, it gives us information about the functions he/she has realized in the frame of oral sung improvisation. This section has to be filled in.
  • AREA: this definite list lets us know about the activities in which the searched person has taken part. Provided that the oral sung improvisation is such a wide concept, this section will inform the users about the specialities and formation of every person. One or more selections can be realized. This section has to be filled in.
  • WORK PLACE: specially in the case of the investigators, they have to give some information about the organization they work for (university, investigation group, department...). That is an optional section.
  • PHOTOGRAPH: it is important to attach an image of the person to his/her information. If you would like to do it, send the image and specify the type of file (jpg, tif, gif...).
ORGANISATION
  • ORGANISATION: there must appear the name of the association or the group that realizes some activity related to the oral sung improvisation. It is strictly necessary to fill in this section.
  • INSTITUTION: most of the associations or groups accepted in " Organisation" often work for some institution.
  • INITIALS:
  • CONTACT PERSON: if a user wants to get in touch with an organisation, it is important to have the name and the surnames of the contact person.
  • DATE OF CREATION: the year is enough (four numbers).
  • DATE OF DISAPPEARANCE: the year is enough (four numbers).
  • ADDRESS: street, number... each person decides how much information includes in this section.
  • ZIP CODE: complementary information.
  • CITY: this information allows the user to get in touch with the organisation that she/he is looking for. The city has to be the place where the head office of the organisation is located.

DOCUMENT
  • SUPPORT: this definite list provides information about the physical support of the document. The document could be in different physical supports. This section has to be filled in.
  • GENRE: this definite list lets you choose one of the genres that appear in the classification of the document contents. This section has to be filled in.
  • PUBLISHED: answer "yes" or "no". This section has to be filled in.
  • FRONT PAGE: the front page of the document adds more information to the description. It could be sent as an attached document.
  • TITLE: the title of the document.
  • AUTHOR: as you introduce a name, the list will unfold. If you are looking for someone that has been searched previously, select it from the list and the information will turn up. It is possible to introduce a maximum of three authors for each document.
  • CITY: name of the city where the document has been published.
  • PUBLISHING HOUSE: if the document has been published (by a person, publishing house, institution...), it is necessary to provide this information.
  • DATE: year of publication.
  • ISBN/ISSN: information to provide in the cases in which it is possible.
  • SUMMARY: information that can be added as an attached file or as free text. It can be written in different languages.
  • REVIEW: it provides information about the content of the document. Information that can be added as an attached file or as free text. It can be written in different languages.
  • INDEXATION TERMS: you only have to select from the list the words that turn out to be interesting to you. It gives information about the content of the document. One or more selections can be realized. It is absolutely necessary to provide this information.
  • TEXT: section that allows introducing the whole document. It is possible to send the text as an attached file (word, pdf...), or by providing the link to the website in which the text is located.
  • CRITIQUES: section to introduce any kind of evaluation on the document, in free text and in any language. We propose that each of these critiques should have the signature of its author.
  • WAY OF ACQUISITION: this section gives us information about the ways to acquire the document. It has to provide enough information to get in touch with the author or / and with the publisher.
PERFORMANCE
  • TITLE: section to introduce the title of performances, congresses… It is strictly necessary to fill this section.
  • NUMBER: it specifies how many editions the performance has had and the place of this one in the whole ranking. DATE OF BEGINNING: years have four numbers; months and days two. It is necessary to fill this section.
