Structure
This
first phase of the project Argus appeared in autumn 2003 has four
main sections: "Map", "Territories", "Search"
and " change / add information ".
- The
section called "Map" shows by using a picture
the reality of the oral sung improvisation in the different territories
of the world. Always respecting the territoriality, it is an easy
way to compile information about the sung orality.
- The
section "Territories"
is formed by a list composed by different territories of the world.
There is specified the number of persons, organisms, documents
and performances of each one. Later, the numbers can turn into
name lists joined to their files. This list will be determined
by the information of the database.
- The
option "Search" offers to those experts who
look for some specific information the possibility to have direct
access to the requested information. This information is distributed
in eight groups: title of the document, name of the person (authors
and persons), organism, territory, genre of the document, term
of indexation, function and area. All these groups are related
between them.
-
" Change
/ add information ": this section allows the users
to change or add any kind of information about performances, documents,
organisms or persons. You can go from a section to another. That
is to say, once you have introduced the information about an investigator,
if you want to add some more information about the works he has
realized, that is the system that will provide all the steps the
user needs to do it.
Allows
correcting the information. In this case, the operator
of the project (the
Documentation Centre Xenpelar) will receive a short message
with the proposed changes and it will be provided to the consultative
commission. In all the cases in which there is proposed to alter
or add any kind of information, it will be strictly necessary
to obtain the assent of the consultative commission.
